Classic Tudor Estate
Set on meticulously planned grounds, this classic 11,000-square-foot Tudor estate is organized around a series of intersecting axes and intentional view lines that unify the main house, pool, and tennis courts into a single, harmonious composition. The landscape design reinforces the home’s stately presence, framing each destination with purposeful sightlines and a sense of quiet procession.
Arrival is marked by a dramatic crossing: the approach road traverses a triple-arch stone bridge set above a cascading waterfall, creating an unforgettable entry sequence that blends romance with architectural gravitas. From this moment forward, the estate unfolds as an embodiment of historic Tudor principles—steep gables, hand-crafted masonry, richly timbered façades, and authentic detailing executed with uncompromising rigor.
The main house anchors the property, rising to a tower whose sweeping vantage point captures a view extending across hundreds of square miles—an expansive panorama that reinforces the estate’s sense of permanence and dominion within the landscape.
Complementing the residence, the carriage house is designed with equal attention to proportion and craftsmanship. Its lower level accommodates six vehicles, discreetly integrated into the grade, while the upper level provides a generous studio space, suffused with natural light and ideal for creative or professional pursuits.
The estate’s architectural integrity did not go unnoticed: the head of the local architectural review board praised it as “the finest example of historical Tudor architecture he had ever seen.” This recognition underscores the project’s commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and enduring design excellence.
